I'm trying to build a portfolio of my colors over strong artists with a variety of styles/genres.
I'd give you credit and a link back of course.
Hey, sure, go ahead!
I'd be pelased!
Please credit me and send me the link. I'd love to see the result!
Also, thanks for choosing my work.
I kind of guessed on the skin/hair/eyes/clothes of the characters.
Thanks for showing me your work!
Can I comment some stuff? I'm not a color specialist, like my 90% black and white gallery can confirm, but I'll try.
- The skin tones are ok, but they look cold. Overall, all the colors look kinda cold. Some faces have stains or blurs, which don't match the light source, or even if you ignore light source, they also don't help, making the face look like bruises. Thebest face is thegirl's in the last panel, stillvcold, but with more volume. Thedude's face has a dark stain on the right side, and it feels wierd.
- The light blue and light yellow on the background contrasts with the stronger colors on the characters, but in a bad way. Maybe some tones there would help, or maybe just work with different colors...
- Some objects lack volume too. Seems you tried to give volume to some things in some places and in others you just used flat colors.
- I guess the colors, like I told you, lack a little brightness and needed to be more lively. It's all toocold and strange.
I mean, I hope I'm not too hard on this, but you did a good job, I thought I had to give you some advice on this. Did yousend this to any pro? They'll have great tips too. You can talk to [link]
He's really good and works for Marvel.
Thanks again, and best wishes! Keep in touch!
I did deliberately make the colors a little cold to reflect the unnatural light that is common in apartment building halls. Maybe I overdid that a bit.
But hey, keep on rocking, man. Your work's only gonna evolve if you keep practicing... That's what I tell my students (and myself!!)
